Serving Injured People Across South Florida

The Injury Advocates represents people who have been seriously injured, and families who have lost a loved one, throughout Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. Our office is on Pine Island Road in Plantation, in the center of Broward County, but where you live does not limit who can help you. We meet clients in person, by phone, by video, or at their home or hospital.

Find your community below. Cities with their own page include information about local roads, courthouses, and what to expect after an injury there.

Broward County

Most Broward injury lawsuits are filed in the 17th Judicial Circuit. Smaller claims may be heard at regional courthouses in Plantation, Hollywood, and Deerfield Beach, while larger injury lawsuits are typically heard at the Broward County Courthouse in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

North Miami-Dade County

A crash in Miami-Dade County is usually handled in Miami-Dade’s courts, which have their own judges, juries, and local procedures. We represent clients in both Broward and Miami-Dade, and we can meet Miami-Dade clients by phone, by video, or at home so the distance to our office is never a barrier.

Palm Beach County

  • Boca Raton
  • Delray Beach
  • Boynton Beach
  • West Palm Beach
  • Lake Worth Beach
  • Wellington

We also represent injured people in southern and central Palm Beach County. Our attorneys have handled high-profile Palm Beach County litigation, including the family of Corey Jones’s civil case against the City of Palm Beach Gardens.

Where Will My Case Be Filed?

In Florida, an injury lawsuit is usually filed in the county where the crash or injury happened, or where the at-fault person or company is located. If more than one county could apply, we consider which location gives you the strongest position. Either way, you work with the same attorney from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you handle cases outside of Broward County?

Yes. We represent injured people throughout Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, and we handle serious injury cases in other parts of Florida as well.

How much does it cost to hire The Injury Advocates?

Nothing up front. Your consultation is free, and we handle injury cases on a contingency fee basis, which means our fee is a percentage of the money we recover for you. If we do not win your case, you owe no attorney’s fees and no case costs.

Do I have to come to your office in Plantation?

No. You are welcome at our office, but many of our clients never need to make the trip. We meet by phone, by video, or at your home or hospital, and we can handle most of your case remotely.

Where will my injury case be filed?

Usually in the county where the injury happened or where the at-fault party is located. We explain the options during your free consultation.

How long do I have to file an injury claim in Florida?

For most negligence claims, the deadline is generally two years from the date of the injury. Claims against government agencies have additional notice requirements, so it is important to speak with a lawyer early.
